HEAT AND DROUGHT
—— IN SEVERAL AMERICAN STATES WHEAT CROPS SUFFERING. NEW YORK, June 28. Hundreds of thousands of bushels of wheat have been destroyed by heat and drought in Kansas, Nebraska. North Dakota, South Dakota, and Minnesota. It is the worst spring drought in history. Reports state that unless relief comes soon the crop will not be worth harvesting.
