Famous men often attend great dinners given in their honour, and eat just a roll and butter. Mr George A. Drucker, who went to London from New York to see how dinners in London are conducted, recently mentioned the names of some of them. Mr Drucker has attended 10,000 dinners in the United States as a photographer. “ I once heard,” said Mr Drucker, “ the late President Taft speak glowingly of the food provided at a banquet where he was the guest of honour—and with my own eyes I had seen him nibble at a roll and butter and nothing more. President Roosevelt rarely touches the dishes that are placed before him. Mr Hoover attends few banquets, and eats little.”
