MANIPULATION OF METER
FORMER EXPERT FINED {Pee United Pbess Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 28. Hubert Lancelot Rhodes, a former employee of the municipal electrical department, and at one time virtually in charge of its meter trouble branch, was uned £5 this morning for tampering with an electricity meter in his own home. The prosecution said it had been found that the whole current at Rhodes's house was running through meters and not registering, but when the time for reading occurred the defendant would connect the meters again for a small amount to be registered. •
