Mr W. J. Bardsley,- after spending Borne in Timaru and Christchurch, has now gone on a visit to New Plymouth. ' Advice has been received that Dr Ritchie Gilmour, second son of Mr and Mrs D. J. Gilmour, formerly of Invercargill, and now - .resident .at Margate. England," and a,.nephew lot Mr; R J. Gilmour, managing 'director of the Southland Times Company, has qualified as M.R.C.S., M.R.C.P. Dr Gilmour is at present on the staff of the London Hospital, where he intends to pursue special studies in pathology. ' < ■■. Mr W. H. & Simmers, who was trained at the Dunedin Training College, has been appointed ta succeed Mr T. R. Buxton on the staff, of the John M'Glashan College. Mr Buxton is" leaving for England at the end of the month, after, having been a master at the college during the last five years. Mr Simmers was ih 1931 president of the Training College Executive and captain of the College first fifteen. He has had .some years' experience in the service of the Otago Education Board and is a qualified instructor in physical drill, having been chosen for special training in this branch under Mr Renfrew White. Mr Simmers, who is to be a resident master, will begin duty on July 3.
