JOHN M'GLASHAN COLLEGE

MEETING OF GOVERNORS. A meeting of the Board of Governors of John M'Glashan College was held on Tuesdav last. There were present: Mi> T. C. Ross (in the chair), Messrs James Been G. M. Mac Lean, A. M. Cameron, M'George, Russell, Dr J. R. Elder, Revs. D. C. Serron and J. J. Cairney. Apologies were received from Messrs A. Uf Cameron and H. L. Cook. '. The principal reported the school roll still stood at 137, one boy having left and one new boy having been enrolled. There were 38 boarders. An anonymous donor had presented two very fine pictures to the school. , On June 2 the Minister of Defence and the general officer commanding the New Zealand forces (Major-general SinclairBurgess), with Colonel Nicholls, visited the school and inspected the cadets. The general expressed himself well satisfied with the bearing and discipline of the unit. On tho King's Birthday the company took part in the military review held on the Oval.
