MONSOON IN INDIA
IMMENSE DAMAGE DONE CALCUTTA, June 24. (Received June 25, at 8 p.xn.) Tremendous damage has been done all over India during the past 48 hours as the result of a monsoon of furious force. The Ganges and other big rivers overflowed their banks. The railways were breached and thousands of head of cattle drowned and crops destroyed. The inhabitants of dozens of villages are homeless.
