INVENTION REGISTRATION
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — I sincerely thank your correspondent “ Patentee ” for his kind advice. I have acted upon it in searching back records contained in the Patent Journals at the Eefereuce Library and I found only one invention that had any relation to mine, but obviously it was not the same in particulars. According to the latest statistics there are 69,878 letters patent sealed and 70,243 complete specifications accepted. So that my search must have been a very cursory one. To wade through 70,243 specifications would be a laborious undertaking. From observation and investigations it is quite evident that if there is such an article in the market, as my invention, it has not reached Dunedin. —I am, etc., James Braid. 19 Stafford avenue, June 24.
