INCOME TAX PAYMENTS
CHARGES AGAINST BANKER VERDICT OF ACQUITTAL. NEW YORK, June 22. Charles E. Mitchell, the former chairman of the National City Bank, was acquitted to-day by the jury on all counts of an indictment which alleged that he had deprived the Government in 1929 and 1930 of more than 850,000 dollars through income tax evasion. The jury was out for 24 hours.
