Araglcn,” Wyndham.—The sample of weed is periwinkle (Vinca major). Usually this weed can be controlled in gardens by good cultivation, but if this is impossible it may he sprayed in the spring with a 5, per ■ cent, solution of sodium chlorate. The solution may be made up by mixing 11b of sodium chlorate with two gallons of water. The plants should be thoroughly sprayed on a dry day. Care must bo exercised In using this mixture, as It will kill any other plant with which it comes into contact.
