ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH

ANNUAL REPORT The annual report of All Saints’ Church, to be presented at a general meeting of parishioners next Wednesday evening, states that the income for the year ended on May 31 was £1342 14a Id. The excess of expenditure over income amounted to £4 15s. The debt due to the bank was £172 15s 7d. The expenditure included; Diocesan Fund £9o us Bd, St. Mary’s Orphanage £l2, Boys’ Memorial Home £5, missions £49 8s 7d. During the year death had claimed several of the parishioners. Mrs J. M. Ruclue was ripe in character as in age, and hei Christian influence and her generosity had been great in the life of AU Saints parish. With Mrs Macasseys passing there closed a lifelong membership, lull of good works, and being the first white girl born in Dunedin, she was one of the -pioneer parishioners of All Saints’. Miss Annie Hitchcock, also a lifelong supporter of the churcl], gave faithful and diligent service. Particulars ot Urn offices of the church were: Holy communion 3730, baptisms 32 confirmations 21, marriages 13. lue thanks ot tiic parishioners were due to the managers of the organisations and societies, or tne parish: Mr A. W. Lilly, organist and choirmaster, with a choir membership'ot 14 ladies, 12 men, and 1G boys; Mr Berry (Sunday School), Mrs Farr (Ladies Guild), Mrs G. R. Ritchie (Junior Guild), Mrs R. V. Fulton (Mothers Union), Miss Burgess and IVhss M. King (Girls’ Club), Miss Burgess (Girl Guides , Mr Paul Evans (chairman Boy Scouts), Mrs Farr, Misses Crockett. Whitehead, Sim, Burgess, Goldsmith, Elsie Moore, Edith Moore, J. Ritchie, and E. Little, who have charge of the sanctuary and memorials. The parish welcomed Mr T. A. Moresby as Herbert scholar, ine vestry especially acknowledged the cooperation of the gujld in maintaining its finances, and also the collectors of monthly subscriptions (Mesdamea Borrow, Stanley Smith, Miss Jerram, Miss Davidson, Messrs F. Hay and M. Warmau).
