The largest prison in Mexico has inaugurated a new cell block for women prisoners. Each one is large, well lighted and ventilated, and has a “livin' room,” kitchen and bathroom. Women prisoners who behave themselves are allowed to have the wireless and gramophone in their cells. Those who have relatives are allowed to receive them in private once a week. These prisoners arc allowed a ration of sweets for dinner every day.
