When a schoolmaster in Leipsiz. Germany. caned a schoolboy 38 years ago the boy's eye was injured. Two years ago the eye became troublesome, and it bad to lie removed. The former schoolboy lias been awarded £IOO damages against the master. To Meet the Times the Kaitangata Coal Company has further reduced its prices.—Advt.
