The annual report of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club states that the. income and expenditure account for the year shows a profit of £590 17s sd. The stakes distributed amounted to £22,030, And -the committee states that as a considerable improvement in the condition of’the Country may be expected in the near future the stakes will accordingly improve. The net amount paid in Government taxes was £10,525.
