JAGGERS BEATS PRENDERGAST. (Per United Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, June 21. The middle-weight professional contest betweeu Twist daggers (Wellington) and Frank Prcndergast (Invercargill) resulted in a win on points for daggers. It was not a good match, the contrast in styles and differences in height and weight militating against a good display, daggers took the ring at 10.8 and Prcndergast at 10.3 J. A special amateur bout between J. Mansfield (Wellington champion) and Bill Pasco (Southland champion) resulted in a win for Mansfield on points after a thrilling bout packed with hard fighting.
