THE NEW ZEALAND LEGION AND PARTY POLITICS
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,—l quite approve of your footnote to Dr M'Millan’s letter of the 16th inst., as he had drifted right off the subject under discussion, and it appears that his psychology has led him astray as his-mind wanders all over the globe, quoting things of which he thinks I approve. Ido not attempt to shield . the unscrupulous capitalist who exploits the worker. no more than I do the worker who exploits the capitalist. I believe in private eu-, terprise in most things and in lees Government in business. The Labour Party is supposed to represent the working class against the capitalistic class, whereas the New Zealand Legion stands for no class or party, but for justice tor all. Does not Dr M'Millan come within the category of this capitalistic class about which we hear so much from the Labour Party? We do not want any scandals like the tin hare racing licensee or fruit machines and Mungana leases to taint the fair name of .New Zealand. i honestly believe that Dr M Millan would do more good- for suffering humanity in his present profession than he ever will in a Labour Party. I suggest he take a leaf out of the book of "Aristophanes. -I am, etc., Worker. June 16.
