RESTRICTION OF ACREAGE THE PRESENT POSITION. LONDON, June 18. Regarding Monday’s meeting of wheatproducing countries, hope for a restriction of acreage by Argentina has not yet been forsaken. The Australian opposition is mainly on the grounds that Australia was not responsible for the slump, but that the United States and Canadian carry-overs, the uncertain quality of which indisputably deadens the market, has hitherto depreciated Australian values.
