The trustees of the Governor-General's Winter Relief Fund, Sir William Hunt and Sir Alexander Roberts, who were recently appointed by his Excellency the Governor-General, have now held their first meeting, and arrangements • are in train for the administration of the fund. In order that an equitable basis of distribution may be arrived at, it is very desirable that those who propose to make contributions but have not yet done so should take the necessary action without delay. Donations in cash or notification of intention to make donations in kind should be sent direct to hi 3 Excellency the Governor-General, and will be acknowledged by him. SUPPLY OF LIME Lime for unemployed relief workers will be issued from the Ward street depot on Monday, Tuesday. Wednesday, and Thursday of each week, and from the Botanic Gardens between the hours of 4 and 5 p.m. on every week day except Saturdays. Supplies are now available. QUEEN CARNIVAL MEETING To-morrow afternoon, in the Council Chambers, Town Hall, a meeting of citizens swill be held for the purpose of completing the arrangements for the organisation of the queen carnival which is to be held at an early date for the purpose ot raising funds for the relief of distress. —— . [ COMPLETION OF FORM It is again necessary that each relief worker should complete form U.B. 32a, and H has therefore been arranged that each week the men in certain specified groups will be required to,, obtain form U.B. 32a from the Labour Bureau, and after completion to return it personally on or before a specified date. ■ Each man must produce his levy book with the completed form. Any worker who neglects to return the completed form by the due date will be deleted from his group, and will not again be granted relief work unless and until he has been reposted to a group by the Labour Bureau. Beattie) wishes to announce that, through the generosity of the Dawson-Caballero management, a number of tickets for Tuesday evening's recital will "be arable to the unemployed of the bor , ou r h ' and will be distributed at the depot this evening between 6.30 and 7 o clock.
