WEATHER FORECAST. *' The following is the official weather foreeast:— j In respect, of the general situation pressure is still low to the eastward, while there is a Blight depression moving across the Tasman. An anti-cyclone covers the whole of Australia. Indications are for: Winds—Moderate southerly north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and elsewhere variable, but with southerlies shortly becoming general and again freshening. Seas—New Zealand waters—There is still a heavy swell between Kaikoura and East Cape, but It is decreasing. Conditions will be rough north of Farewell Spit, and elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea—Light to moderate and variable winds will be experienced at first, but later southerlies will prevail. The Waipiata, which arrived on Saturday morning from Bluff, sailed after mid-day for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. The Opihi sailed on Saturday for Oamaru, Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. The Orepuki is due at Dunedin to-day from Wellington to load general cargo. She will sail to-morrow for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington. Napier and Gisborne.

The Union Company advises that the Totara will load general cargo' at Dunedin on Wednesday for Wellington and New Plymouth. The Waimarino left Auckland on Friday evening for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due here on Thursday, and will sail next Saturday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton and Plcton to complete loading for Wellington and Auckland. The Union Company advises that the Wingatul is to leave Auckland on Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at this port on June 29. The Coptic is now due at Wellington on June 24 from Bluff. She is scheduled to leave Auckland on July 1 for London. The Karetu is due at Auckland to-morrow from Sydney and Fiji. From Auckland she will return to Newcastle and Sydney to load again for Fiji and Auckland. The Oceanic Company's liner Mariposa, from San Francisco and Los Angeles, via Honolulu, Pago Pago and Suva, arrived at Auckland on Friday morning. She left on Friday evening for Sydney and Melbourne. The Shaw, Savill Company has received cabled , advice that the Otira left Brisbane on June 6 for Napier, where she is duo this morning to commence Homeward loading. She will complete at Bluff, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. The Otira is scheduled to clear Wellington finally on July 3 for London, via Cape Horn and Montevideo. After tending the southern lighthouses, the Government steamer Matai returned to Bluff last Thursday to load stores for Puysegur and Milford. She Is to leave Bluff to-day for West Coast lighthouses. ■ • WAINUI FBOM MELBOURNE. The Walnul is due at Dunedin to-morrow from Melbourne, via Bluff. She will discharge and load, and is to sail to-morrow afternoon for Lyttelton. Wellington, Oamaru, Bluff and Melbourne. WAIHEMO LEAVES LOS ANGELES. The Union Company advises that the Walhemo left Los Angeles on June 12 with Canadian and American cargo for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Australia. She is due at Auckland on July 7, and at Dunedin about July 18. CARGO OF MOTOR SPIRIT. With a cargo of bulk motor spirit for the Associated Motorists Petrol Company, the tanker Irini left Constantinople on June 7 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland about July 16. The irini, ex Conrad Mohr, is a Greek tanker of 4008 tons, and was built at Middlesbrough In 1909. v CARGO FROM LIVERPOOL. With cargo from west coast ports of Great Britain the Shaw, Savill and Albion motor ship Zealandic was to leave Liverpool on Saturday for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is due at Auckland on July 27. . AKAROA FROM ENGLAND. In addition to passengers and mail the Shaw, Savill liner Akaroa. which is due at Wellington on June 23 from London, has cargo for discharge at Wellington and Auckland. After completion of discharge the vessel will load at Auckland, Lyttelton, Bluff, Port Chalmers, Napier and Wellington. She is scheduled to clear Wellington finally for Southampton and London, via Panama, on July 26. STEERING GEAR CARRIED AWAY. A telegram received from Glsborne states that during the height of last Thursday's southeasterly gale the steering gear of the motor vessel Awahou was carried away when the ship was between Table Cape and Gisborne. The vessel hove-to for two hours while temporary repairs were effected. Permanent repairs were carried out at Gisborne on Saturday. AKERS POINT LIGHT. The Marine Department advises that the Akers Point light is under repair, and will not be re-exhibited until about the end of September. Further notice will be given. ~~" ~? MAIMOA ARRIVES FROM LONDON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Line steamer Maimoa arrived in the Lower Harbour on Saturday morning from London, via Panama and Suva. After undergoing medical inspection the vessel came to Dunedin and berthed at the Victoria wharf to discharge a; large quantity of Home cargo. She will sail early this week for Lyttelton Timaru and New Plymouth to complete discharge. The Maimoa left London on April 30. and reached Suva on June 8. fart cargo was discharged at the Island port, and departure taken on June 10 for Dunedin. The vovage was uneventful. Captain H. P.
