THE SWASTIKA
The Swastika is generally considered to be the oldest as well as the most powerful mascot in the world. The sign has been found on ancient rock carvings in India, China, and Japan, ami on stone implements belonging to the earliest periods in the history of man. the behet that it brought good fortune arose from the fact that it was used by the people of the early days as the emblem oi the sun. All the ancient races worshipped the son in some way, as they thought it was the source of all that was good, and the emblem was supposed to attract to the person who wore it, or the place where it was. a share of the sun’s favour. The word Swastika is Sanskrit, and means “ happiness.”
