J. A., Waltaki.—The garments would bo exempt from sales tax only if they were a bona fide present. The charge of 2s 6d sales tax is correct according to law. The duty Is levied on a value of £1 7s 6d—cost of articles £1 ss, plus the statutory Increase of 10 per cent.
