Merseburg, an historic city on Lake [ Constance, will celebrate its 1000th anniversary next month. Actually the anni- ) versary fell in 1919, but no celebrations j took place then owing to general condi- 1 tions. The present year also brings the | 1000th anniversary of the victory of King ' Henry II over the Huns near Merseburg. The celebrations will include a procession in historic costume.
