Burnside. June 14. Fat Cattle. —Two hundred and fortytwo fat cattle were; yarded. There were only a few pens of extra prime heavy bullocks throughout the yarding, the great bulk comprising medium-weight steers, with the usual number of cows and heifers. There was spirited demand for all welbfinished prime cattle, and a good sale resulted, prices for all prime heavy bullocks showing an advance of 20s per head, while medium cattle appreciated to the extent of 10s as compared with last week's rates. Extra prime bullocks bi’ought to £ll 17s 6d; prime, from £9 2s : 6d .to £lO 7s 6d; medium, £7 2s fid to £8 17s fid; light and unfinished, £4, 7s 6d to £6 7s 6d. Store Cattle. —One hundred and eighteen store cattle were yarded at to-day s sale, and values generally showed an appreciable advance. An entry of well-bred four-year-old bullocks realised up to £5 10s, three-year-olds to £4 12s 6d, and two-year-olds from £2 5s to £3 2s fid. These prices show, an improvement of about 10s per head as compared with late ruling rates. Only a small number of cows and heifers were offered, and these also met with a ready sale. There were very few extra prime wethers throughout the yarding, which was composed principally of medium to good ewes, with a few pens of light-weight wethers. Owing to the short supply there was a keen sale, and prices can be quoted at an advance of 2s for all prime wethers and 2s to 2« fid for all classes of ewes.
