MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago La.nd Board was held yesterday, and was attended by Messrs N'. C.Kensington (chairman), M. A. Kinney, D. M’Lenuan, J. R. M‘Qulloch, and G. Livingstone. PERMISSION TO OCCUPY. Joseph M. Mitchell applied for permission to occupy section 52, block Akatore (7a 2r OOp). and section 24, block I, Akatore (94a Or 38p), at present held by William Edward Morgan.—Leases cancelled, and permission granted to occupy the areas from year to year at an annual rental of £2. ... James Barton applied for permission to occupy sections 40 and 41, block X, Waitahuna East, area 20a. —Leases cancelled, and permission granted to occupy from year to year, on the usual conditions, sections 9, 40, 41, block X, at an annual rental of fl ss, commencing as from February 10, 1933. ... John Fraser applied for permission to occupy area opposite sections 44, 40, and 4, of 39, block 11, Maungatua (2a), and section 3 of 39, block 11, Maungatua (4a Or 19p), at present held in the name of E. L. Twelftree.—Leases cancelled, and permission granted to occupy the area from year to year at an annual rental ot 15s J. F. Drake, holder unde, education reserve lease of section 2 of 16, block I. Maungatua S.D. (38a 2r 16p), applied for permission to erect buildings on the section to the value of approximately £35. —Permission granted. The commissioner submitted for consideration the application of W- Bovctt for permission to occupy sections 37 and 48, block I. Lower Wanaka, area 36 a Or 25p.—Year to year right to occupy granted on the usual conditions at an annual rental of £1 as from June 14, 1933. Richard Jamieson applied for permission to occupy area adjoining section 36, block IV (approximately sia), held in the name of R. W. Roberts, and also a further area extending to M Cormack s Creek. —Miscellaneous license cancelled as fiom January 10, 1934. . William John Dundass applied for permission to occupy section 15, blocklll, Poolburn S.D., and area between Poolburn and boundaries of Blackstone o.L.K. (127 a lr OOp'i, at present held in the name of Hugh Wilson— Miscellaneous license cancelled and permission granted to occupy the area from year to year at an annual rental of £2 9s. Alice May Weaver applied for permission to occupy section 41, block I, Maungatua S.D. (162 a. Or 19p), held in the name of J R. Wilson—Miscellaneous license cancelled as from Februry 7, 1930, and permission granted to Mrs A. M. Weaver to occupy from year to year at an annual rental of £l. ... . . . W. J. Gallagher applied for permission to occupy an area adjoining sections 24 and 33,. block 11, Tiger Hill, at present held by H. Gallagher, and an additional area of la adjoining. MISCELLANEOUS LICENSES. The commissioner submitted for consideration the question of the cancellation of right to occupy, in the name of James Joseph O’Kane. Alexandra, over an area of la, being part run 246 on the foreshore at Lake Hawea.—License cancelled as from June 7, 1933. The commissioner submitted for consideration the question of the cancellation of miscellaneous license over section 2oA, Otanomomo settlement (la).— Miscellaneous license cancelled as from June 12, 1932. 1 Question of cancelling miscellaneous license held by D. M'Rae over an area of approximately 4a adjoining the town ot Ophir,—Cancelled as from May 5, 1933. DETERMINATION OF LICENSE. The commissioner submitted for consideration the question of determination of miscellaneous license over section 20, block XVI, Dunedin and East Taieri S.D. (lr) in the name of Miller Laing.
