OUTBREAK OF FIRE
SCHOOL TOTALLY DESTROYED. (Per United Press Association.) WHAKATANB, June 13. The Awakeri School was totally destroyed by fire early this morning. When discovered by the headmaster (Mr Osborne) the whole roof and ceilings were in flames, and these quickly spread. Within an hour the building was completely burned. It was recently enlarged, and comprised three classrooms and a teacher’s room.
