PRESENTS TO THE DUCE
GRAMOPHONE RECORDS NAZI LEADERS’ SPEECHES. ROME, May 30. The German Minister of Propaganda, Dr Goebbels, on his arrival in Rome to-day, visited the King and the Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini. Dr Goebbels presented the Duce with 180 gramophone records, of all the speeches and other events which marked Germany’s National Labour Day and of Herr Hitler’s foreign policy speech before the Reichstag.
A silver tablet on the case bears the inscription: “To the leader of the Italian people, in profound admiration.”
In the afternoon the airship Graf Zeppelin arrived, being greeted by the King, Signor Mussolini and Dr Goebbels, with whom the airship made a short trip. Everywhere they were acclaimed by immense crowds. J
