MEMBERSHIP OF LEGION

POSITION OF PUBLiC SERVANTS NO ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 13. Interviewed to-day, the Public Service Commissioner (Mr P. Verschaffelt) intimated that no action had been taken to prevent public servants from becoming members of the New Zealand Legion, and that he considered it would be impossible to do so. The commissioner stated further that no objection was raised to officers as private citizens becoming members of any organisation, political or otherwise.
