AN UNUSUAL CASE • COURT TAKES LENIENT VIEW (Pee United Press Association.) FEILDING, June 13. An unusual case' was decided by Mr R. M. Watson, S.M., at the Magistrates Court to-day. Hector Pearson, owner of a lorry, and two employees —H. Dewe and W. Barrington—-were charged with a breach of the law regarding working on Anzac Day. , , ~ Sergeant Angland stated that the two employees had loaded the lorries with wool and drove to Wellington ■on Anzac Day. • ■ . -• The defendants’ solicitor (Mr T. Pagan), who pleaded guilty for his clients, said that all the defendants were returned soldiers, and they had no desire to be disrespectful to the day.
