THE WEATHER

The weather on Saturday was warmer than during the previous part of the week. The sky was overcast, with some threat of rain, and there was a light breeze from the south-east. The barometer continued steady, and showed little change throughout the day. The temperature was slightly lower than on the previous day. The sky was overcast, and an intermittent drizzle, accompanied by a light north-cast breeze, fell at intervals during the day. The barometer was steady, the reading in the evening being 30.35. To-day was dull and cloudy, a light south-east wind making the conditions very bleak. _ The barometer was steady all dav at 30.07. WELLINGTON, June 11. After a hazy morning Wellington enjoyed perfect winter weather on Saturday—bright sunshine and a light southerly. During the night the sky clouded over, and rain fell yesterday morning. The remainder of the day was dull but fine, with a chill southerly breeze. CHRISTCHURCH, June 11. After being foggy till nearly mid-day, the remainder of 'Saturday was beautifully fine. To-day was bleak, with a light drizzle and a breeze from the northeast. The barometer was steady at 30.25.
