MARATHON CONTEST WINDSOR TO LONDON. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, June 10. (Received June 11, at 6.35 p.m.) A member of the Air Force, Sam Ferris, won the Polytechnic marathon from Windsor to Loudon in 2hr 42min l-ssec. This is his eighth victory in nine years. GOLF NATIONAL OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, June 10. (Received June 11, at 6.35 p.m.) At Glenview Goodman won the National Open Golf Championship with a score of 287. Hagen and Armour tied third with 292, and Kirkwood tied seventh with 296. NEW YORK, June 10. (Received June 11, at 7.30 p.m.) A message from Glenview states that John Goodman, an amateur, took the lead in the Golf Championship with a brilliant score of 141 for the 36 holes. Armour’s score was 143, and Kirkwood 144. Hagen dropped back to 149. RUGBY LEAGUE (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyriglt.) SYDNEY, June 11. (Received June 11, at 6.30 p.m.) In a Rugby League game New South Wales defeated Queensland by 17 points to 14 points.
