NINE PERSONS KILLED BURNING CELLULOID FALLS ON BATHERS. NEW YORK, June 9. (Received June 11, at 7.30 p.m.) A message from North Arlington (New Jersey) states that nine persons were killed, while several others are seriously burned, as the result of an explosion on Friday night which wrecked the Atlantic Pyroxylin Waste Company’s building. The flaming celluloid from the skies showered on the bathers on the beaches. A panic followed as screaming women and children, with their limbs seared, lay on the beaches. The noise of the explosion was heard for miles.
