Despite the Anglo-Irish trade deadlock, Mr J. H. Thomas welcomed Mr de Valera on his return from Italy. They warmly shook hands and conversed for five minutes. DIVORCE CASE. LOS ANGELES, June 9. (Received June 11, at 6.30 p.m.) The new economic treason law, discouraging the flight of capital and tax evasion, imposes sentences of from one to 10 years on Germans evading the declaration of property or capital abroad or of foreign currency exceeding 1000 marks. Foreigners are also liable.
