EMPIRE POSTERS
freedom from duty STIMULATION OF TRADE. LONDON, May 27. The London Chamber of Commerce, says The Times, has submitted to the Dominions Secretary, Mr J. H. lliomas, a Board of Trade memorandum..for communication to the dominions, and colonies, urging that all printed advertising, including catalogues, posters, and showcards “should be admitted duty free throughout the Empire. The chamber contends that this would be in accord with the principles for the extension of trade formulated at Ottawa, and would stimulate exporters to enlarge' their Empire trade, thus benefiting Dominions’ Customs revenue. Dominion advertising matter is already admitted free to Britain.
