MAYORESS’S RELIEF COMMITTEE The Mayor (Mr M, .F, Cooney) occupied the chain at a well-attended meetin;' of the Mayoress's Relief -Committee. The Meat Committee reported that it bad purchased a cjuantjty of. moat for distribution during the winter. . It also reported that Mr J. Meikle had generously agreed to cut up and parcel the meat as lie had done last year. Authority, was given to make arrangements on the same lines ag last year to have boots repaired and for the making of trousers. It was decided to hold a drive for clothing and boots about the middle of July.
