JAPANESE EXPORTS
PROBLEM FOR INDIA LONDON, May 5. It is understood that aa a sequel to talks with , the Japanese Ambassador, Mr Matsudaira, the President of the Board of Trade, Mr Walter Runciman, will announce shortly in the House of Commons that discussions will be held in London during the World Conference between British and Japanese industrialists in connection with Japanese export of cheap goods to India and the colonies. It is believed that the delegates will discuss' the possibility of overcoming the difficulties by a gentlemen’s agreement, in which British and Japanese manufacturers will apportion exports.
