OFFICIAL COUNT COMPLETED (I'kb United Pbes.« association.! CHRISTCHURCH, May 11. With the completion of the official count the new Christchurch City Council consists of the following:— Labour: J. K. Archer, Mrs M'Combs, J S. Barnett, Miss Howard, J. Matlrieson, T. H. Butterfield, G. T. Thurston. Citizens' Association: E. H. Andrews, J. W. Beanland, M. E. Lyons, W. Hayward, T. Milliken, T. Andrews. Independent: F. T. Evans, H. T. J. Thaeker. Socialist: A. E. Armstrong.
Seven hundred and twenty counts were required under the proportional representation system to elect the council. Miss Howard (Labour) has been properly enrolled, and it is not considered that the election will now be challenged.
