The good folk of Glasgow have fallen for the gigot, which is another way of saying that they are making mutton a prominent item in their diet. A leading floshcr stated lately that less beef, home and imported, was heing sold in the eitv and the chop and gigot had become very popular with housewives. The immediate effect of this is that there are more smile* among the Scottish sheep farmers.
