CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, May 11. The weather was showery and unsettled in the morning, clearing aftc' mid-day, with fairly fine weather in the afternoon. There was a south-westerly wind all day. The barometer continued to rise very slowly. WELLINGTON, May 11.
Bright sunshine prevailed In Wellington to-day. A light southerly breeze was blowing, and increased for a brief period in the afternoon, but soon died ewav. CHRISTCHURCH, May 11.
To-day was dull, with some sunshine in the afternoon and a shower at night. The wind was light from the south-west. The maximum temperature was 50dcg. The barometer was steady at 2!).71in.
