NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE

GLASGOW CAMPAIGN. (From Our Own Correspondent.) LONDON, March 21. The campaign in favour of New Zealand produce lias been transferred from Yorkshire to Scotland, where the New Zealand publicity and trade representatives are participating in the Scottish Grocers’ Exhibition at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow. With the exhibition stand us the nucleus of the campaign, the Dairy Produce Board and the Meat Producers’ Board are both active in the city and district. Both boards are conducting a window dressing competition, and the number of entries so far received is very satisfactory. Yesterday a full page-in the Evening Times was devoted to New Zealand matter and advertising, the former including an article by the High Commissioner. To-morrow a full page in the Daily Record will also be devoted to New Zealand affairs. Some 200 poster sites have been taken, and on these are 10ft bills calling attention to the shopping week, and to the produce at the New Zealand stand in the Grocers’ Exhibition. A canvass of all the shops in Glasgow and suburbs has been in progress for the past fortnight, and will continue after the exhibition closes. Mr H. T. B. Drew (Government publicity officer) will be lecturing on “ New Zealand To-day ” at Berkeley Hall next Friday. From Glasgow the campaign will be transferred to Edinburgh on April 3. After Easter the campaign will be continued in Newcastle-on-Tyne and Gateshead, and then at Brighton, where New Zealand will occupy the Marketing Board’s shop- for two weeks.
