WASHING HINTS
A tablecloth rinsed out of water to which a little methylated spirit has been added will not need to be starched, and it will look fresh and glossy. If blankets have become hard and have a greyish look after washing, shake them vigorously and beat up the fluff with a piece of'thin cane. Or hang them on the line and beat with a carpet beater, which should be perfectly clean.
