V.A.T.C. MEETING

(Received Dee. 26. at 11 p.m.) The Victoria Amateur Turf Club’s Boxing Day meeting was conducted in ideal weather at Caulfield to-day. The Christmas Handicap resulted as follows:—Opera Boy, 7.8 (J. Little), 1; Harrygovin 8.7 (A. Reed), 2; Stardent (Dempsey), 3. Fifteen started, including Waterline and Hunt v the Slipper. Wou by a head each way. Time, Imin 12Jsec. Hopetoun Handicap.—Pendiss, 7.13 (O’Brien), 1; Calmond, 7.11 (Raffale), 2; Lord Whittier, 7.4 (Sharpe), 3. Ten started, including Lady Pam and My Talisman. Won by three-quarters of a length, with half a length between second and third. Time, 2min 19j)sec.
