GOVERNMENT’S HOUSING BILL y SECOND READING MOVED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 15. (Received Dec. 16, at 5.5 p.m.) In the House of Commons Sir. Hilton Young moved the second reading of the Bill embodying the Government’s new housing proposals, which aim at encouraging the building of a smaller type of house by private enterprise and with the help of building societies, and bringing to an end the system of subsidies. THE CHRISTMAS RECESS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 15. (Received Dec. 16, at 5.5 p.m.) Parliament will adjourn for Christmas on Thursday next, and will reassemble on February 7.
