There is a teapot in Scotland that has been in constant use for 200 years —and is unbroken. It belongs to Mrs Mary Barclay, of Kirkcaldy, whose great-great-grandmother was its original owner. Although in appearance like modern silverware, the teapot is composed of dclf—a process of earthenware now little used —aifd coated with silver.
