After Dempster joined Blandford the Town made a stand, and the score was carried to 104, when Blandford went, caught by Gallichan off Newman, for 41. The match ended in a draw. AUCKLAND, December 15. Badeley (Waikato) is not available to tour with the Auckland cricket team. Cowie. (Grafton) has been chosen in his place. LADIES’ ASSOCIATION. The inaugural meeting of the delegates of the various Ladies’ Cricket Clubs of Dunedin was hold in the Y.W.C.A. Rooms on Wednesday evening. Representatives from each of the following clubs were present: —Mayfair, Mooney’s, Otago Girls’ High School, D.1.C., Arthur Barnett’s, Planet, Penrose’s, 11., 8., and Grange. The chair was occupied by Miss Garratt, and the following office-bearers were elected: —President, Mrs Ambrose Hudson; deputy-president, Mrs W. Ross; hon. treasurer and secretary, Miss Freeman: committee—Misses Fleming, Inglis, Shepherd, Churchill, Woodbury, Benzoni, Garrett, and Arnold; hon. auditor, Mr M. Harrould; Grade Committee —Misses Fleming, Arnold, and Garratt. In the early stages of running this association it was found necessary to seek the help and advice of male cricketers. Messrs W. Strang, C. Chadwick, and H. Daniels, having signified their willingness to help, were elected ns an advisory committee. It was decided that the rules of the Otago Ladies’ Cricket Association should be on similar lines to those of the Otago Cricket Association. A vote of thanks was accorded to Messrs H. Daniels, S. Braham, and If. Harrould, who, by their unceasing energy and enthusiasm, made it possible for this start to be made with ladies’ cricket in Otago.
