NEW MONETARY SYSTEM
PROPOSAL ABANDONED (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 12. (Received Dec. 13, at 5.5 p.m.) The council of the' Bank of International Settlements decided to abandon its intention to establish a new monetary system based on gold until the debts question has been settled between the Governments interested.
