AN ARMED GERMAN
IN EX-KAISER’S RESIDENCE REFUSES TO MAKE STATEMENT. AMSTERDAM, December 13. (Received Dec. 13, at 8 p.ra.) A well-dressed unknown German, armed with a revolver and a bowie knife, was discovered in the cellar of the ex-Kaiser’s residence. It is believed that he intended to attempt an assassination. He was overpowered after a vigorous resistance. He refuses to make a statement. THE POLICE RETICENT. AMSTERDAM, December 13. (Received Dec. 14, at 0.30 a.m.) The police are reticent in regard to the Doom intruder, whom servants recognised as a man who had been seen loitering in the village during the past few days. Apparently he climbed the castle wall and hid in the tower.
