CHIEF RACE TO MOUNTAIN ORE ' (Per United Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, October 24. The second day of the Greymouth Trotting Club's meeting was held in fine but cold and windy weather. The attendance was fair, and the track was good, xhe totalisator for the day handled £7521 10s, against £10,158 10s last year, and for the fceeting £13,320, against £17,365 10s. Results: —

Won by half a length, with three-quar-ters of a length between second and third. Rare Pronto was fourth. Travis Tnorn led from a good start, followed by Autowin, Plain Silk, Rare Pronto. Dark : Denver lost his driver after a furlong. i . Travis Thorn was in charge the first time past the post, but wa« then displaced by Autowin, which led until the home run, when Avernus challenged strongly to win. Travis Thorn made a late run for third place.
