NORTH OTAGO.

(FBora Our Special Correspondent.)

MAJESTIC PICTURES Although Richard Barthelmess's latest screen vehicle, "Alias the Doctor," showing to-night and Wednesday, might suggest intrigue and exposures af the sensational, it is clean entertainment of a mature nature, a store to which the most delicate minds could take no offence. It deals with a boy who becomes a famous surgeon under the name of* his brother, for whose crime he • was robbed of his degree. This makes every operation illegal as far as the medical and criminal world is concerned, but those who see the picture realise that he is well within the unwritten and greater law of humanity. His " crime" is discovered, however, anil leads to some of the most startling and dramatic incidents the screen has recorded in some time. Plans are at the Bristol until 5 o'clock, and at the theatre from 6.30 p.m. HAMPDEN TENNIS CLUB
