BEQUEST TO DAUGHTER.
Details of a fortune left by a solicitor to his daughter, who is living with her husband m China, became known a few weeks ago. ~, ora The solicitor, Mr William Sanders Fiske, a partner in the firm of wedge, Fiskc, and Company, of Norfolt street, Strand,, died last March. To his daughter Vanda Mary, who is married to Commander Howden, Mr Fiske left the bulk of his fortune of £145,359. _ .. , Other bequests include six niontlis wages to each of the clerks of his firm who have been there for two years prior to his death and £15,000 in trust for Jus son Guy, “who is otherwise provided for.” Mr Fiske, who was for many years legal adviser to the late Sir Robert Houston, who left him £SOOO, directed that in the event of Commander and Mrs Howden, or Mr Guy Fiske, dying childless, the whole of the trust is to pass to tne Victoria and Albert Museum, South Kensington, to form a fund for the purchase of objects of vertu.
