LEX MACDONALD
FAMOUS BOY SOPRANO Lex Macdonald, who ranks among the foremost boy sopranos in the world today, will begin his New Zealand tour in the Town Hall on Wednesday, October 26. His voice is one that thrills with its wonderful power and its rare floating quality which enables the lightest note to be clearly heard at the back of the largest hall. This is due to his perfect production as the faintest inflection comes to the auditor with cameo clarity. During his recent visit to Australia he astounded the critics. There will be a strong supporting programme, of which particulars will be published at a later date. The concert in the Wellington Town Hall last night was attended by over 2000 and the boy soprano was accorded a wonderful reception.
