It is permissible to shoot at a youth who is practising on-a cornet, according to a decision given in New York by- a magistrate, in dismissing a charge against a man who was arrested for firing seven shots from a window at’a young cornet player practising in the opposite house, the magistrate observed: “Perhaps you did somebody a favour.” The defendant said that the playing had annoyed him intensely, and that he had. used only blank shots, to frighten the performer.
